Job Title - Product Manager, Merchant Experience

Location - New Delhi
Experience - 1-3 years

About Tazapay

Tazapay is the financial technology platform of choice for cross-border businesses. We offer local and global collections, holding and payouts in over 70 markets. Our partners do not need to create local entities and we offer the compliance framework to take care of local regulations and requirements. This results in decreased transaction costs, forex transparency and higher authorization rates.

About the team

At Tazapay, product development is an extremely collaborative effort between engineering, design, partnerships, legal, risk, operations and go-to-market teams. The merchant experience team owns building and maintaining the core features of Tazapay’s heavily used dashboard and the APIs, including Payins and Payouts.

This is a hybrid and user-facing team, responsible both for ensuring that Tazapay’s APIs are highly usable and ergonomic, as well as ensuring that the dashboard interface is simple, actionable, and maximises operational efficiency.

What you will do

As the product manager for merchant experience, you will be responsible for any surface that a merchant chooses to interface with Tazapay. You will ensure that enterprises needing bare metal access to Tazapay can successfully build and operate their payment operations.

You will

  • Own and operate the API platform for Tazapay, including defining a long term strategy for extending our payin, holding and payout surfaces as the business grows.

  • Craft and execute on the roadmap, effectively prioritizing initiatives based on customer impact, urgency, business value, and resource constraints.

  • Collaboratively partner with other Tazapay teams (engineering, legal, sales, support, etc) early in the product development lifecycle and jointly shape product plans that lead with delightful experiences.

  • Ensure we are building a reliable, performant platform, including system reliability, API extensibility, and latency.

  • Work closely with users, product teams, and cross-functional partners to build a comprehensive and frictionless payments dashboard experience.

  • Support our developer community through public Postman collections, integration examples and solutioning complex integration workflows.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • At least 1-3 years of work experience having worked with fast-paced startups.

  • An obsession over product quality, specifically an intuition for high-performing, ergonomic and long-lasting API design.

  • Strong API “taste” – you should know what makes a great developer experience and be a driver of good API design decisions, down to individual parameter naming.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of user problems.

  • An ownership mindset and works on whatever it takes to solve problems and delight users.

  • Can dig deep into the data, think from first principles, and deliver the right results.

  • Strong bias for action.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of delivering robust software solutions at scale.

  • Experience working with cross functional teams and stakeholder management.

  • Ability to understand complex engineering concepts on a deep technical level.

  • Experience working on financial products.
